Competitors from the world wine stage will gather for one night only to determine which country shall take  home the gold. Guild Directors David Skinner and Robert White will lead this tasting event where wine styles  and varietals from around the world go head to head in a blind tasting challenge. Tuesday, 09 March 2010
SOLD OUT! — For the Burgundy and Bordeaux fans in the Guild, John MacKinnon will present six prized examples of each that he has personally selected based on his extensive tasting for the LCBO. The Ultimate Pair-off: Wine vs. Beer with Cheese
Tuesday, 30 March 2010
For my money, wine and cheese outpace even peanut butter and jelly as the classic combination in the world of gastronomy. Both wine and cheese can be consumed while fresh, simple and young or in their more complex forms when they are aged and mature. But let’s not forget beer!

Guild Annual General Meeting
Monday, 03 May 2010
The Guild’s Annual General Meeting is part business and part social event. A (very) brief summary of the year’s activity and financial status will be followed by an election to fill Board of Director positions being vacated for 2010-2011. New directors will serve a two year term. While the votes are tallied, members will be given an opportunity to express their thoughts on the Guild and address questions to the retiring Board. This will be followed by a reception where food and wine will be served.

Special offers to (and from) Guild members!

Moderation
Don't Drink and Drink
The National Capital Sommelier Guild strongly supports moderate and responsible consumption of wine and spirits. Guild dinner events allow a designated driver to attend at a reduced price. The designated driver will not be served alcohol. Guild tasting events provide and encourage the use of spit buckets.
