Monday, 5 May 2008, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Trattoria Café Italia, 254 Preston Street (corner of Gladstone)
The Guild’s Annual General Meeting is part business and part social. A (very) brief summary of the year’s activity and financial status will be followed by a vote to ratify changes to the Guild’s Bylaw approved by the Board (view the list of changes in the March newsletter [PDF]). Members will be given an opportunity to express their thoughts on the Guild and address questions to the retiring Board. An election of all eleven Board of Director positions for 2008-09 will be held. This will be followed by a social where food and wine will be served.

The National Capital Sommelier Guild strongly supports moderate and responsible consumption of wine and spirits. Guild dinner events allow a designated driver to attend at a reduced price. The designated driver will not be served alcohol. Guild tasting events provide and encourage the use of spit buckets.
