Tuesday, 26 August 2008, 6:00 p.m. reception, 6:30 p.m. dinner Join Guild VP Martin Carrière at the historic and elegant Bayne-Morrison House, the residence of Guild Governor and Ottawa Citizen food columnist Gay Cook, for a “Garden Party” including: Fine food Good Wines Lively Conversation “Many members have asked for a casual friendly summer event that would provide a chance to enjoy wine and food in the company of fellow Guild members. We think this venue will satisfy all. The Sommelier Guild is the most enjoyable group of wine lovers anywhere. Please join us and see for yourself.” —Tim Davis, Guild Past-President Weather permitting, we will dine outdoors on the terrace overlooking the garden. Full menu and list of wines will be developed in June for the next newsletter. A vegetarian option is available at time of registration. Space is limited.  The National Capital Sommelier Guild strongly supports moderate and responsible consumption of wine and spirits. Guild dinner events allow a designated driver to attend at a reduced price. The designated driver will not be served alcohol. Guild tasting events provide and encourage the use of spit buckets. |
