Winemakers the world over get themselves tied up in knots about how they should handle their Pinot Noirs. How to trellis it, prune it, and crop it; whether to pick early or late; and what style of wine to make, light or dark, new or old. We will try to find the definitive Pinot Noir by tasting wines produced by eight different producers from eight different countries. Included will be a premium Burgundy from the spectacular 2005 vintage. The Pinot family also includes Pinot Gris and we will taste three excellent examples. As a special treat we will also try a sparkling Pinot. If you are a fan of Pinot, or perhaps a future fan, this is the event for you. All the wines have been carefully selected over the past few months to make this a tasting to remember.
