Annual Méchoui Print

Saturday, July 24, 2010, 3:00 p.m.
Elmdale Lawn Bowing Club, 1 MacFarlane Avenue, Ottawa (2 blocks east of Sherwood and Parkdale)

Celebrate summer with fellow Guild members and members of Slow Food Ottawa—sip fine wines in the great outdoors and enjoy delicious foods prepared by a team of gourmet cooks including Guild Governor Gay Cook and Guild member Sylvain de Margerie. Back by popular demand is Sylvain’s spit roasted lamb accompanied by seasonal vegetables, gourmet cheeses and a sweet treat.

Check out the Slow Food Ottawa Web site at slowfoodottawa.com and Peggy Hall’s blog at http:// alocavoresdilemma.wordpress.com. Through the generosity of the Elmdale Club, you can try your hand at lawn bowling (with lessons) or hang out, enjoy the appetizers and sip wine. If you would like to try your hand at bowling, come at 3:00 p.m. Appetizers and wine will be served at 4:00 p.m. Please do not wear shoes with heels or treads. Seating is very limited so book early. It promises to be a great event!

A vegetarian option will be available.

Members: $80 + $10.40 (HST) = $90.40
Sponsored Guests: $90 + 11.70 (HST) = 101.70
Designated Drivers: $70 + 9.10 (HST) = 79.10

The National Capital Sommelier Guild strongly supports moderate and responsible consumption of wine and spirits. Guild dinner events allow a designated driver to attend at a reduced price. The designated driver will not be served alcohol. Guild tasting events provide and encourage the use of spit buckets.
